Electronic Voice Phenomena (EVP)


 There are three basic types of EVP.

Class C: Messages are faint and whispery. Headphones must be worn to hear them clearly, and rarely can all the words be interpreted.

Class B: Messages are louder and clearer and can often be heard without headphones.

Class A: These voices are the most gratifying.  Loud and clear. Here are some examples  The Paranormal Investigations Team  have recorded.

Class C
This faint EVP was captured at the Empress Theater in Magna, Ut, in October of 2008. It's good example of a Class C EVP.

Class B
This was captured at the Empress Theater, in Magna, UT. Listen for what sounds like a child's voice about halfway through responding to Michael. It sounds like: "Me, too." There were no children on this investigation.

Class A
This was captured at a different theater in Northern Utah. (See our Investigations Page for more on this location.) "Who are you?"






 
What do you hear?


 A lot of the EVPs we capture are extremely difficult to make out. Quite often, there is disagreement between team members as to what an entity is trying to say. Below are a few of the clips we remain undecided on. If you'd like to take a shot at identifying what is being said, and we agree, we'll post your comments under the clip. Unknown - Clip A
This was captured in a mausoleum The PI-Team received permission to investigate several years ago.

Unknown - Clip B
This was captured in the same mausoleum as Clip A. We've titled it "Babble", and remain split as to whether it is even a legitimate EVP. There was no machinery running at the time this was captured. This is the entire segment.

Unknown Clip - C
This extremely faint Class C EVP was captured in the basement of a Salt Lake City residence. It is near the end the clip.
